Closing Time
We made it. We finally signed the papers and got the keys to our brand new 100-year old home.
Closing was not quite as scary as I had hoped it would be. We met the seller, who grew up next door to the house she sold us, which might be on the market soon. This is most certainly a plug for you to be our neighbor.
The first order of business was to assemble our Christmas tree and pop some champagne. The real work begins tonight when we tear up that carpet.
It's a little overwhelming to walk around an empty house and notice everything that needs to get done. Just like champagne, patience on this adventure will be critical.
